Beverley Cottage is a very old building, originally a dwelling, but was used as a barn when the site was purchased in 1962, when it was converted into a garage and store. In 1986 it was reroofed and converted into cosy holiday accommodation, which proved very popular with visitors. It has recently undergone further extensive refurbishing work, incorporating many features of cottages dating from the time it was originally a dwelling, along with modern comfort and conveniences, making it even more attractive as a place to enjoy a holiday.

On entering the front "stable" door, one enters the sitting room and sees a traditional fire place (with an efficient wood burning stove) and many period utensils attractively displayed. Leading from the sitting room is the kitchen/dining area, with dishwasher, microwave oven etc. In a small utility room is an automatic washing machine and shower. The ground floor is tiled throughout. Stairs go from the sitting room to the bedrooms, all neatly fitted into the sloping roof space. They have restricted headroom in places, so may not suit tall people! There are 3 bedrooms: a bunk room, a twin bedded room, and a double bedroom with a cot and ensuite bathrooms. There is also an additional wc and wash hand basin.

As well as the woodburning stove, there is additional electric heating in all main rooms. Extensive pine sheeting adds to the charm of the cottage. There is a small, secluded area where visitors may sit and/or bar-b-q in privacy outside. Children may enjoy feeding the free range chickens, and might be lucky enough to stay when there are baby chicks!
